Dog 可以表示“狗年出生的人”，所以 I'm a Dog 可能听起来有点奇怪，但它的意思不是“我是狗”，而是“我属狗”。

要注意的是，英语中，表示生肖时，动物首字母要大写。

如果实在担心跟外国人说 I'm a Dog 会引起尴尬，那可以这样说：I was born in the year of the Dog。

the year of the Dog 是“狗年”的意思，这里有两个 the，都不能省略哦。另外，year 的首字母可以大写，也可以不大写。

读作/'zəʊdɪæk/，是星座的统称，而具体到某个星座，就要说 sign。那这跟生肖有什么关系呢？

西方没有十二生肖，只有十二星座，所以“生肖”的英语就借用了 这个单词，用 表示。

但是 是生肖的统称，要具体指某个生肖时，也要说 sign。

sign 既能表示星座，也能表示生肖，到底是哪种意思，要看语境讲的是西方还是中国，还是很好分辨的~

和生肖一起常说的，还有“本命年”，它的英语比较常用的是 year，也就是与生肖相符的年份。
